The View at Mackenzi and our other pet-friendly rentals in York, PA provide easy proximity to nearby communities such as Hanover and New Freedom, PA. The View at Mackenzi is also under an hour from Maryland with quick access to towns like Hunt Valley, MD and direct access to Baltimore, MD along the I-83 corridor.

Our pet-friendly 2-bedroom apartment rentals feature spacious floor plans plus central air and heating, built-in microwaves and in-home washers and dryers. The View at Mackenzi has a dedicated staff right on-site and 24-hour emergency maintenance service.

We loved living here. We lived in our apartment for about 3 years. The staff and maintenance crew were so amazing. Anytime we had a maintenance request, the crew was usually there same day. Most other rental communities that’s unheard of. The community management staff are the nicest people. They’re super responsive and remembered our cat's name and always asked about him. What is the pet policy?

We allow 2 pets maximum: 2 dogs, 2 cats or 1 dog + 1 cat. Pet Rent per pet: $40. Pet Sanitation Fee: $350 for 1 pet, $400 for 2 pets. Pet Screening Fee per pet: $25 (ACH) or $30 (credit/debit). Max weight: 65 lbs. German Shepherd, Husky, Staffordshire Terrier, Pit Bull, Pit Bull Mix, Doberman, Chow and Rottweiler are prohibited.

Is this community smoke-free?

Yes, our community has smoke-free units and common areas. Smoking will still be allowed but must be 60’ away from any and all buildings, entrances, patios, balconies and/or amenities.

How do I apply for an apartment?

Applying for an apartment at Larken Associates is easy. Simply select the property you're interested in on our website and click on the “Apply Now” button under the “Availability” tab. This will direct you to our online application form where you can provide all necessary information. Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis. If a community says it is “Fully Leased” no apartments will be listed under the “Availability” tab.

Do I need to provide any specific information?

Yes, you'll need to provide essential details, including your personal information (name, date of birth, social security number, and additional contact details), employment and income verification, rental history, and references. Additionally, be prepared to provide a government-issued photo ID and, if applicable, a pet policy acknowledgment for a pet-friendly rental apartment.

Does Larken Associates offer discounts for active military and veterans on apartment rentals?

Yes! Larken Associates proudly supports active military personnel and veterans by offering a special a one-time $350 credit for new residents (not to be combined with any other offers).

How long will it take to review my application?

The review process typically takes between 24 to 72 hours. However, this timeframe may vary depending on the completeness of your application and the responsiveness of your references and employers. We strive to get back to you as quickly as possible.

Is there an application fee?

Yes, there is a non-refundable application fee that covers the cost of processing your application and conducting background and credit checks. The exact fee amount will be detailed in the application form. There are also additional non-refundable move-in monies due prior to lease execution. Please ask a leasing agent for further details.

What if my application is approved?

If your application is approved, you will be contacted by a leasing agent to discuss the next steps. You will need to provide any necessary documentation and/or administrative fees within 48 business hours of notification. Failure to provide the required information or fees within this timeframe will result in the forfeiture of your application fee, cancellation of your application, and the apartment will be made available to the public. Once your application is approved and all deposits have been paid, the unit will be held for you.

What happens if my application is not approved?

If your application is not approved, you will receive a notification explaining the reason(s). Our leasing team is available to discuss any concerns you might have and to provide advice on how you might strengthen your application for future opportunities.

Can I check the status of my application?

Yes, you can check the status of your application by contacting the leasing office at the property you applied for. Our staff will be happy to provide you with an update.

Are there any income or credit requirements?

Yes, all applicants must meet certain income and credit requirements to qualify for an apartment. These requirements ensure that tenants can comfortably afford the rent and have a history of reliable payments. For more details, please reach out to the Leasing Office for a copy of our screening criteria.

Can I request a different lease term?

At this time, you cannot request a different lease term. Only 12-month initial lease terms are available.

How often does the inventory change?

Inventory changes on a daily basis.
