Larken Associates Welcomes Barney O. Drew as Human Resource Director To Growing Commercial Real Estate Firm
Larken Associates, a regional leader in commercial and residential real estate building, development and management, announces Barney O. Drew has joined the company’s executive leadership team in the role of Human Resource Director. In this role, Drew will focus on developing and implementing an enterprise-wide integrated Human Capital Management strategy and framework in support of the firm’s expansion and growth plans.

An expert in employee relations, talent management and organizational effectiveness, Drew has over 30 years of extensive experience in all aspects of human resources across numerous industries including construction, industrial services, automotive manufacturing, transportation, and warehousing. Drew will work closely with Larken Associates’ Chief Operating Officer Lenny Tartamella to implement a human capital strategy in support of the company’s overall strategic vision. Drew will work to build a comprehensive human resource department in support of the firm’s extensive growth by identifying and implementing the latest human resources technologies to streamline the company’s internal processes, ensure a seamless experience for the firm’s 150 employees, and to recruit the industry’s top talent.

Prior to joining Larken Associates, Drew served as Vice President, Human Resources for Party Rental Ltd., in Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. where he reported directly to the President to provide innovative HR leadership efforts throughout all phases of the business and implement a highly effective HR strategy for over 800 full-time employees and up to 700 seasonal employees. Drew also served as Human Resource and Safety Director at Harsco Infrastructure Americas and Director of Employee Relations at Lafarge North America. Drew is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned a B.A. in Economics, and also earned his M.B.A. from Michigan State University.
