Larken Associates’ President and CEO David Gardner Named to NJBIZ Commercial Real Estate Power 50 List for the Fifth Consecutive Year
Larken Associates, a regional leader in real estate building, development and management, is proud to announce that President and CEO David Gardner has been named to the NJBIZ 2024 Commercial Real Estate Power 50 list.
Announced annually, the NJBIZ Commercial Real Estate Power 50 list celebrates the vision and leadership of the most influential real estate executives and municipal leaders in New Jersey. This recognition marks the fifth consecutive year David has earned a spot on the prestigious list.
As President and CEO, David oversees all aspects of Larken Associates’ daily operations, including acquisitions and dispositions, portfolio and asset management, fundraising and placement, and business planning and development. Founded in 1965, the second generation family business boasts an expansive portfolio that includes nearly four million square feet of commercial space and approximately 2,500 residential units throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Under David’s leadership, Larken Associates has transformed from a small family-owned real estate business into one of New Jersey and Pennsylvania’s most respected owners, developers and property managers. His focus on quality building, pride in ownership and a relationship-driven approach has ensured Larken Associates’ spaces are places where tenants can be proud to live and work.

Beyond his professional achievements, David is committed to giving back to the community and is a driving force behind the firm’s Larken Cares initiatives. The firm partners with a variety of charities and nonprofits, including From Houses to Homes, a Guatemala-based organization dedicated to providing the indigenous population facing poverty with access to sustainable housing, healthcare and education. Gardner has personally made 15 trips to Guatemala and in 2019, he began sending teams of Larken Associates employees to the nation’s highlands region each year to construct homes and distribute food and supplies for families in need. The firm also sponsors the education of two native students, ensuring they have access to two meals a day, education materials and access (for them and their families) to a medical clinic.
