One Business Opens, Another Coming Soon to South Whitehall’s Tilghman Square
Solano Consultants Insurance Agency, offering insurance for your car, home, business and more, recently opened at 4682 Broadway, while Captured LV Escape Room, offering unique challenges that must be overcome in order to escape themed rooms, is set to open by mid-August at 4640 Broadway. Both ventures are second locations of established businesses.
Solano originated seven years ago at 1146 W. Hamilton St. in downtown Allentown (across from Allentown Public Library), while Captured LV originated four years ago at 559 Main St. in downtown Bethlehem (on lower level of Main Street Commons). The insurance agency’s South Whitehall location debuted March 16, but it was only in operation for a week before the pandemic forced it to temporarily close, owner Alain Solano said. It reopened June 15. Solano Consultants Insurance Agency, offering insurance for your car, home, business and more, recently opened in South Whitehall Township's Tilghman Square shopping center. Both locations can assist clients with various types of insurance, including auto, property, business, life, health and specialty services such as motorcycle, ATV, boat, travel trailer/camper, RV, snowmobile, flood and pet health.
The business, which works with more than 25 insurance carriers, also provides Pennsylvania DMV/DOT services (tags, registrations, titles), notary services and assistance with incorporations, LLCs and apportioned tags. “I have over 20 years of experience in insurance and launched on my own in 2013,” Solano said. “… Primarily my market has been in the Latino community but would love to expand my market.” Since reopening, Solano has installed sneeze guards at each desk and requires staff and anyone entering the establishment to wear masks. Captured LV, which will occupy the Tilghman Square’s former Massage Envy Spa space, puts you and your friends in a locked room with 60 minutes to find your way out. Teams work together to solve puzzles, crack codes and discover keys and secrets to escape in time. Four themed rooms in Bethlehem include “The Haunted Theatre,” “The Alchemy Lab,” “Pirate’s Chamber” and “Mayan Temple,” while the first room in South Whitehall will be dubbed “The Soul Collector.”
Captured LV Escape Room is set to open its second location within a month in South Whitehall Township's Tilghman Square shopping center. The facility's first room will be dubbed "The Soul Collector." Three other themed rooms are also in the works and will eventually debut following “The Soul Collector” at the new location, co-owner Lori Warsing said. “The Soul Collector” experience will have you and your friends “vacationing” in New Orleans, with the room description reading as follows: “Mardi Gras has just ended and it’s time to go home, but one of your friends has gone missing while out exploring. The police advise that they are already investigating numerous other missing persons. They warn you not to go looking for him yourself as something sinister is awry. It’s getting dark, but you decide to search anyway when you stumble upon a hidden, dilapidated antique shop. You have heard locals talk about its eccentric owner. Desperate to find your friend, you enter the creepy shop. Once you step inside, the door is sealed with vines trapping you with no way out. You realize you are no longer on a mission to save your friend, but rather in a race to save yourself. You have one hour to escape before your soul is condemned to form part of the shop’s eternal collection.”
After being closed for a few months due to COVID-19 mitigation efforts, Captured LV in Bethlehem reopened June 26 with new safety procedures. The facility is running limited sessions to add time in between sessions for a thorough cleaning, to reduce the number of employees working at one time, and to avoid customers coming into contact with other parties. Additionally, hand sanitizer is available for use before and after each game, guests receive instructions for a contactless check-in, and private sessions are available at no extra cost. Masks are required to enter the building and in front of LV Captured team members, but they can be removed once inside the escape room. For more information about LV Captured Escape Room or to schedule a session, call 610-419-0449 or visit capturedlv.com.
Solano Consultants and LV Captured join the Tilghman Square’s lineup of more than 40 tenants, including New Vision Theatres, retailers such as Grocery Outlet and Harbor Freight Tools and restaurants such as Red Robin, Moe’s Southwest Grill and Lazeez Fresh Mediterranean Grill. Over the past couple of years, the 35.75-acre shopping center also has welcomed several other tenants, including Dollar Tree, Thai Origin, Young Chef’s Academy and Jersey Mike’s Subs.
According to a shopping center floor plan on Larken Associates’ website, four units are available, including spaces that previously housed VR3 Gaming, a virtual reality gaming facility that closed in February, and gym chain Planet Fitness, which moved to the Allentown Towne Center across the street last month.
