Larken Associates Expands Commercial and Retail Portfolio with Acquisition of 62,077 Square Foot Raritan Crossing in Raritan
Developer Now Owns More Than Two Million Square Feet of Commercial Space
Larken Associates, owner and manager of more than two million square feet of flex/warehouse, self-storage, retail, medical and office space in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, has acquired Raritan Crossing, a 62,700 square foot mixed outdoor mall.
Similar to its current retail holdings in other locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, the developer was looking for a property that was already established in a location that provides steady visitors throughout the week from both residents and employees in the area.
“There are more than 116,000 living, and more than 150,000 people visiting and working during the day within five miles of Raritan Crossing giving it a sizable customer base,” said Victor Kelly, Executive Vice President for Larken Associates’ Commercial Division. “It’s location on 206, the diverse tenant base and the historically high occupancy rate all made it a very attractive property for Larken.”
The property is nearly 100 percent occupied with tenants including D&C Pools, Acme Vacuum Corp, Dominos, Embroid Me, Raritan Valley Liquors, Ming Da Kitchens, Allstate NJ, Bagels for U of Raritan, Lynn Dry Cleaners, T&T Nails, Golden Asian Cuisine, Learn to Learn, Hairport of Raritan, Cosmo Prof, Dollar Tree, Ahns Tae Kwon Do and Exerwise Woman.
Larken has begun a full renovation on the property that includes updating the façade, improving lighting and parking, making the entire grounds ADA accessible, and new landscaping will be planted for spring.
